The Yves Saint Laurent house is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the “Yves Saint Laurent Aux Musées” exhibition presented in six different Parisian museums, presenting YSL pieces such as her Mondrian dress, accompanied by the art that inspired them.
Organized by Mouna Mekbar, this exhibition will be presented at the Louvre, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Picasso Museum and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Inspired by Van Gogh and Picasso, this exhibition will be the first of its time, presenting works of art that directly inspired Saint Laurent.
Composed of six museums in Paris, each museum will highlight different aspects of the designer, the Musée d’Orsay highlighting the genderless fashion that Saint Laurent is famous for, and the Louvre focusing on aspects such as light, gold and decorum. The Saint Laurent Museum will present historical archives and collections to spectators.
The exhibitions will be held from January 29 to May 15.
