MIHS Class of 2022 Seniors Attend Interfaith Baccalaureate

Seniors from Mercer Island High School’s class of 2022 gathered at the United Methodist Church on June 7 for an interdenominational bachelor’s degree sponsored by the Mercer Island Clergy Association. The theme for the evening was “Let Peace Prevail”. Several seniors spoke of how their faith makes a difference in their lives. The keynote address was delivered by Reverend Rhonda Bostrom, new pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. At the end of the program, Chaplain Greg Asimakoupoulos offered a blessing over the class before one of the elders sounded the shofar invoking God’s peace. Courtesy of Greg Asimakoupoulos
