Houston Children’s Museum: Tanabata Japanese Star Festival

At this interactive event for kids, come together to celebrate a beautiful Japanese legend of the two-star crossover lovers who are only allowed to meet once a year. Vega and Altair are separate galaxies, separated by the Milky Way and to see each other they must wait until the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. Their meeting marks Tanabata on the evening of the seventh day. Introduce children to Japanese culture and folklore through this heartwarming story.
